DOUG HOLLOWAY, protégé of George Alston who authored the “The Winning Edge”, will be conducting an extensive two-day handling seminar on March 6-7, 2010 in Sumner, WA. 

Born to a dog show family, son of Roy Holloway who is respected judge, breeder and mentor, Doug has spent his life in the sport of dog shows. His mentors and friends include George Alston, Bob & Jane Forsyth, George Ward, Cliffy Hallmark and his father Roy Holloway. There are many others that have also been instrumental in his career. Doug has won numerous Best In Show Specialties across all Groups; handled many dogs to All Breed Group placements, and has taken a dog to BIS from every Group. He has been an AKC judge for the past three years judging Working breeds. 

As an extra bonus, Mr. Holloway’s wife, Rita Holloway will be accompanying him. Mrs. Holloway is a renowned AKC judge of Non-Sporting dogs and will be judging our Best Handler in class.

This event will be held indoors in a large, fully matted ring from 8:00 am – 4:00 pm.  Check-in will be from 7:30 AM – 8:00 AM each day. Class starts promptly at 8:00 AM. Morning refreshments and luncheon will be provided both days at no additional cost

WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Anyone who has ever lost to a lesser dog in the conformation show ring! Regardless of whether you are competing for the Winner’s points, Best of Breed, the Group, or even Best in Show, this clinic can help you sharpen your Winning Edge!

WHAT TO BRING? Clean, well mannered dog, show lead, bait, crate, and chair. 

WHAT ARE THE RULES? This seminar is designed to educate the participants and is not intended to be a training session for the dogs.  Please bring a ring-wise, well-mannered dog over one year of age.  Dogs must be current on all vaccinations. Mr. Holloway does not allow distractions of dogs barking during his seminar. Disruptive dogs must be removed from the building. Parking is available next to the building. Only individuals who have enrolled in the seminar will be permitted in the seminar.
